Best decision to cancel the exam: PM
A day after the CBSE’s Class 12 board exams were canceled, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that the decision was taken after extensive deliberations.
New Delhi. A day after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) canceled the Class 12 board exams, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the decision has been taken after extensive deliberations and is in the best interest of the students. He said that this decision has been taken in student-friendly after the important opinion of the people from all over the country to the Central Government. The Prime Minister held an important meeting on Tuesday and discussed the examination during the time of Kovid epidemic and after that the government announced the cancellation of CBSE’s 12th examination.
After this announcement, some other states including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand also announced to postpone their board examinations. Some states have said that they will take a decision in this regard soon.
It has been a chaotic year for students. The joys of growing up partly snatched away, confined to their homes, less time with friends.
Responding to the reactions of some people on Twitter about the cancellation of the exam, the Prime Minister said, “Health and welfare of students is our top priority.” He said that this year has been very hectic for the students as due to the pandemic they were confined to their homes and got little time to spend with friends.

In response to a tweet, Modi wrote, ‘As you said, this is the best and student friendly decision at the present time.’ In response to a teacher’s tweet, the Prime Minister said that during the last one year, teachers have played an important role.
