Pune Weekend Lockdown: The PMC has decided to continue with some of the restrictions removed from June 14. During this, government and private offices will be able to operate with 50 percent staff capacity.
Pune. It has been decided to impose Weekend Lockdown again in Pune, which is going through the process of unlocking. The Pune Municipal Corporation has taken this step to check the spread of Kovid-19. Non-essential shops will remain closed on weekends. According to the order, the PMC has also banned roaming after 10 pm without any valid reason. However, it is not yet clear how long the re-imposed restrictions will last.
PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar issued the orders on Friday. It said that non-essential goods stalls and shops, malls, salons, beauty parlors, spas, bars and food courts will remain closed on weekends. These restrictions will continue in PMC, Pune Cantonment Board, Kirkee Cantonment Board area.

Public places like gardens and open fields will be able to open from 5 am to 9 am. Outdoor games can be played throughout the day. Whereas, the time for indoor games has been fixed from 5 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 7 pm. Social, cultural and religious programs will be organized till 7 pm. During this only 50 people are allowed to attend. 50 people will be able to attend the wedding and 20 people will be able to attend the funeral. Meetings can also be held with 50 percent capacity.
The new restrictions will not affect construction works and e-commerce services. The special thing is that most of the restrictions were lifted in Pune after the state government gave relaxation in a phased manner. Some experts have warned that the third wave of corona virus may soon knock in Maharashtra.
