Government denies the claim of International Magazine regarding death due to corona virus in India

India Coronavirus Death: Due to the loss of 4,002 more lives in the last 24 hours due to Corona virus epidemic, the death toll in the country has reached 3,67,081.

New Delhi. The central government on Saturday hit out at an international magazine, which claimed that the actual number of coronavirus deaths in India is probably five to seven times higher than its official number. The Union Health Ministry said in a statement that this is a fabricated article which has been written without any basis and for false information. Along with this, the ministry termed this article as unconfirmed analysis, which is based on the expansion of data without any epidemiological evidence.

The Center said that the death figures related to corona virus in the states and union territories are based on the instructions issued by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The Union Health Ministry has emphasized the need for a robust reporting mechanism to regularly monitor district-wise cases and deaths on a daily basis, the statement said.

Meanwhile, the daily new cases of Kovid-19 in India are less than the one lakh figure for the fifth consecutive day and the lowest 84,332 new cases have been registered in 70 days. According to the updated data of the Union Health Ministry till 8 am on Saturday, the total cases of infection have increased to 2,93,59,155 due to the arrival of new cases. Due to the loss of 4,002 more lives due to this epidemic, the death toll has reached 3,67,081. The number of patients under treatment has come down to 10,80,690 which is 3.68 percent of the total cases of infection.

The ministry said that the number of patients under treatment in India is less than 11 lakh after 63 days, while 84,332 new cases in 24 hours are the lowest in 70 days. The ministry said that the daily rate of infection was recorded at 4.39 percent. It has remained below 10 percent for the 19th consecutive day. The weekly infection rate has also come down to 4.94 percent.
