Noida. Once again preparations are being made for the Gram Panchayat elections. After three days the election process will start. Voting is to be held again for 47 seats of Gram Panchayat. All these 47 seats are from Gautam Budh Nagar. A total of 88 seats were held in this district. But there are 47 seats where re-elections have to be held due to lack of two-thirds majority. Due to this, oath was not even administered on these seats. According to the District Panchayat Raj Officer, now the counting of votes will be done on these seats on June 14 and the result will come on the same day.
This election program has been made for 47 seats
According to District Panchayat Raj Officer Kunwar Singh Yadav, a new program has been made regarding the district panchayat elections to be held on 47 seats. Under the new election schedule, the process of nomination will start from June 6. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on the same day.
Candidates will be able to withdraw their names till June 7. After this, election symbols will be allotted to them. Voting will be held for all 47 seats on June 12. Votes will be counted on June 14, giving a gap of one day on June 13. It may be noted that there are total 88 gram panchayats in Gautam Buddha Nagar. In these, on the orders of the Election Commission, the three-tier panchayat elections were held on 19 April. But there were 47 gram panchayats of the district, in which the swearing-in program could not be held due to lack of majority of two-thirds members.
According to the District Panchayat Raj Officer, the Election Commission’s State Election Commissioner Manoj Kumar has issued the notification for the elections on Tuesday. In which orders have been given to start the election process again in 47 villages of Gautam Buddha Nagar. After the release of the notification, the administration has started its preparations.
