New Delhi. Now the dress code has also been implemented in the country’s largest investigating agency CBI, according to which one cannot go to office wearing jeans, t-shirt, sports shoes and slippers. Men will have to wear collared shirt, trousers/formal pants and formal shoes to go to office. Not only this, they will also have to come to the office after shaving well. On the other hand, women can wear suits, saris, formal shirts and trousers. Wearing casual dress has been prohibited in the CBI office.

The administrative wing of the CBI has issued an order in this regard on June 3 and has asked the employees of the CBI to come wearing “proper office attire”. This is probably the first administrative order in the country’s largest investigating agency regarding the dress code since it was made mandatory for CBI investigators to wear the jacket written on the back of the jacket during the time of former CBI director AP Singh, almost a decade ago. According to this order, it has been seen for some time that many officials/staff do not come to the office in proper clothes. Therefore, all the employees will have to follow the guidelines made from now on.

It has also been said in the office order that all head of branch guidelines should be strictly followed. According to CBI sources, the office has its own discipline and everyone is expected to follow it. Most of the employees follow this. This order is for those who do not follow it.

However, the office order clearly states the dress code for women and men and has been asked to strictly follow it. A copy of this order has been sent to Director CBI, Additional Director CBI and PS to Director of Prosecution and all the heads of the zones.
