Every state is also preparing to deal with this third wave of Corona virus infection (Covid 19). Preparations are also going on in Uttar Pradesh. Under this, the Yogi Government of UP has set a target of setting up 350 Oxygen Plant in the government hospitals of the state in the next two months. For this, the government has invited bids (tenders).
In Uttar Pradesh, all these 350 oxygen generation plants can jointly produce 3 lakh liters per minute of oxygen. The last date for the bid invited by the UP government is 8 June. Whichever company will make the plant, it will have to ensure the operation of the oxygen plant daily for the next ten years in addition to monitoring its oxygen supply.
The UP government has set a deadline to establish the oxygen plant within the next two months from the date of the order. In these oxygen plants, the plants with the highest capacity are to be installed in the main district hospitals. They will have a capacity to produce 1500 liters per minute. At the same time, low capacity oxygen plants will produce 500 liters of oxygen per minute. Their total combined capacity will be 3.2 lakh liters per minute of oxygen production.
Let me tell you that during the second wave of corona in Uttar Pradesh, there was a lack of oxygen supply. During this time, the demand for oxygen in the state had reached 1200 metric tons daily. The state had its own production capacity of 339 MT. Whereas he had to take 894 MT of oxygen from other states. Now after the establishment of these 350 oxygen plants, UP will become self-reliant in the matter of Oxygen. News 18 had already reported that the Uttar Pradesh government is working on a plan to be self-reliant in the field of Oxygen production. For this, he also talked about giving exemption to those companies, which want to set up an oxygen plant.
The UP Governor approved the ‘UP Oxygen Production Incentive Policy 2021’ on 16 May. Under this, there is a provision for giving subsidy of 25% of the total capital and complete exemption in stamp duty to the company engaged in oxygen plant.
