Rai said, “Those who were working for the BJP got infected with the virus… Before taking them back, we had to ensure that they become infection-free as our aim is to get rid of the virus. BJP district president Dhruv Saha claimed that his party workers were forced to join the ‘Trinamool Congress’. “No one has gone from BJP to Trinamool on their own free will,” he said.

‘TMC doing this to avoid allegations of violence’
Saha said that in an attempt to avoid allegations of post-poll violence, TMC leaders are organizing such programs and forcing BJP workers to join the Trinamool.
Before joining the Trinamool Congress in Hooghly district two days ago, 200 BJP workers had to shave their heads to absolve themselves of the sin of switching to the saffron party ahead of the assembly polls.
