Recruitment of Unmarried Male Candidates in Indian Navy for a total of 33 posts of ‘Sailors Matric Recruit (Musician)’. (Batch No. 02/2021)
Eligibility – Passed 10th.
Age – Date of birth of the candidate. Must be between October 1, 1996 and September 30, 2004.
Musical Qualification – Singing skills, mastery of Indian or foreign instruments (such as board / string / wind instruments (jazz, drums set, brass drums, snare drums, symbols, non chromatic instruments))
Experience in the field of music – (a) Certificate of experience in Hindustani or Carnatic classical music from a music institute. (B) Candidates playing Western music on wind instruments should have a certificate of minimum initial grade from Trinity College of Music London or Royal School of Music, London. (C) Various by other candidates
Certificate or prize for participation in competitions.
Physical parameters – Height – At least 157 cm. Chest – At least 5 cm. Must be inflated. Weight – in proportion to height and age. Sight – without glasses – good eye 6/60, bad eye 6/60. With glasses – good eye 6/9 and bad eye 6/24.
Selection Procedure – Approximately 300 candidates will be called for Music Test and Physical Ability Test (DHAL). The music screening board will be taken on the date given in the call up letter. Age, educational qualifications, musical certificates, musical qualifications and physical ability will be checked. Candidates who pass this will have to appear for the Enrollment Medical Exam.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – ((a) 1.6 km distance run in 7 minutes, (b) 20 stand-ups and (c) 10 push-ups).
The merit list of the candidates who have passed from the Music Screening Board and Dhal will be published on the website of the Indian Navy and will be sent to INS Kunjali, Colaba, Mumbai for the Music Screening Board.
Eligible candidates will be provided Call Up Letters cum Admit Cards (CLACs) for the Musical Screening Test on the Indian Navy’s website in September 2021.
When applying online, it is mandatory to submit original copies of the scanned and uploaded certificates (such as music certificates, marks and residency certificates) at the time of the music screening test.
It will take 2-3 days for music selection, physical fitness test (PFT) and enrollment medical examination.
Candidates who are permanently / temporarily medically unfit in the Enrollment Medical Examination can seek specialist review from the Military Hospital. Permanently medically unfit candidates go to a military hospital for specialist opinion at a cost of Rs. 40 / – (Military Receivable Order (MRO) can be appealed to the Government Treasury within 21 days.)
Training – The 15 week basic training course will start from October 2021 at INS Chilka, Odisha. After that he will be sent to Mumbai for 26 weeks special training in military music.
During the training, candidates will be given Rs. 14,600 / – per month will be paid. Upon successful completion of the training, the candidates will be deployed at Pay-Matics Level-3 (Rs. 21,700 / – plus Military Special Pay at Rs. 5,200 / -). Approximately Rs. 34,432 / -.
Rs. Insurance cover of Rs 50 lakh will be provided. The following should be prepared for online application. Music Certificate, 10th Pass Certificate, 10th Grade Original Sheet, Aadhar Card, Passport size photograph drawn on blue background.
