Chhapra On Friday, on the last day of the ongoing nominations for the 10 assembly seats of Saran district, the maximum 64 candidates filed nominations. Candidates kept on coming till three o’clock in the electoral office. Many of the candidates had to return without being nominated due to the end of time. On Friday, outgoing MLA Kedar Singh filed nomination form as RJD candidate from Baniyapur. Virendra Kumar Ojha has nominated from VIP party from Baniyapur. At the same time, Bhojpuri film actor and BJP leader Sujit Puri nominated Manjhi as an independent candidate. Former LJP district president Vegan Manjhi has filed nomination from Gadkha assembly seat. On the last day of enrollment, the Collectorate premises, SDO, office and Vikas Bhavan had tight security arrangements. Barricades were carried out by the police near Nagar Palika Chowk and Thana Chowk. CRPF personnel also conducted a flag march on the Collectorate Path. Dharamvir Singh, director of the Child Protection Unit, posted as a magistrate, was posted at the gate of the electoral officer of the Chhapra Legislative Assembly with a police force with promptness.
