In 24 hours 3 lakh 52 thousand 991 corona patients were found while 2812 patients died. India, which is fighting the Corona, is currently facing an oxygen crisis. Demand for oxygen has increased in many places in the country, but there is not enough oxygen supply. Australian cricketer Pat Cummins has donated 50,000 US dollars (about Rs 37 lakh) to India’s contribution in this struggle. Cummins has donated to the PM Care Fund. Cummins has shared his support on social media. He has also appealed to other players playing in the IPL to help in the same way. Cummins said in a tweet, “As a player, I also have some responsibilities and I am donating some funds to the PM Care Fund, especially for the purchase of oxygen in hospitals in India.” I also appeal to my teammates in the IPL for help,

“I have been coming to India for the last several years and I have fallen in love with this country,” Cummins said in his social media post. The people here love me dearly. I have an idea that many are facing difficult situations during the Corona Crisis. With the number of Corona patients increasing, discussions are currently underway on whether it is right or wrong to play in the IPL. I would like to tell the Government of India that the IPL has brought a smile to people’s faces for at least four hours during the lockdown.

Hero of the match against Chennai

In the IPL 2020 auction, Kolkata Knight Riders had included fast bowler Pat Cummins in their squad for a bid of Rs 15.50 crore. Cummins hit an unbeaten 66 off 34 balls with four fours and six sixes in the Chennai match against Kolkata at Mumbai’s Wankhede ground last week.

Cummins has played 35 matches in the IPL so far. He has taken 33 wickets at an average of 33.03. His best is 4 wickets for 34 runs. He has also done brilliantly many times in batting. He has so far scored 306 runs in the tournament with 2 fifties and a strike rate of 143.
