Akola: MIDC police on Wednesday busted a gang that stole seven LEDs from a city sports club within the limits of MIDC police station. Two members of the gang have been arrested and five TVs have been seized from them.
Seven 32-inch LED TVs were stolen from City Sports Club. After lodging a complaint with the MIDC police station, the police registered a case against the unidentified thief under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Avinash Manikrao Landage, 20, a resident of Dubewadi in Akot file, was arrested while investigating the theft. After a thorough interrogation, he confessed to stealing the TV. He also informed that the TV was sold to Tulshiram Arbat, a resident of Adsal Fata. Police have also arrested Tulshiram Arbat and seized five TVs worth about Rs 60,000 from them. Both the accused will be produced before the court on Thursday. This action was taken by Superintendent of Police G. Under the guidance of Sridhar, Additional Superintendent of Police Monica Raut, City Deputy Superintendent of Police Sachin Kadam, MIDC Thanedar Kishore Wankhede, police personnel Dayaram Rathod, Nilesh Bhojne, Santosh Daberao and MIDC police conducted the operation.
