The remaining matches of the Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL 2021) will be held in the UAE in September, before BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla has made a big deal on the issue of foreign players.
New Delhi. The BCCI has put its full emphasis on organizing the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League 2021. Due to Corona virus, this tournament had to be postponed after 29 matches but now 31 remaining matches will be held in UAE in September. Due to the new schedule, many foreign players of IPL teams will not be able to participate in this tournament. This issue is a matter of great concern for some teams, but BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla has said astonishing thing on this issue. Rajiv Shukla has bluntly said that whether any foreign players come or not, the tournament will take place.
Khaleej Times In a special conversation with Rajiv Shukla said that IPL 2021 tournament will be held whether foreign players come or not. Rajiv Shukla said, ‘We discussed the issue of foreign players. Our only goal is to complete this season. It cannot be left in the middle. So whichever player will be available is a good thing. If it is not available, then this issue cannot stop us from organizing the tournament.

Rajiv Shukla further said that BCCI will follow its policy whether any foreigner is available or not. He said, ‘Some foreign players will not be available but we will complete our tournament. IPL teams will look towards other players. Whatever will be available as well as the tournament will be organized, this is our policy. Let me tell you that many big players will not be able to play IPL in the month of September. England, Australia, New Zealand teams will be busy during that time. Rajiv Shukla told in the interview that all 8 IPL teams are in support of organizing the tournament in UAE. From the very first day all the teams were in favor of UAE. Rajiv Shukla said, ‘There were reports that the remaining matches would be in England but there is more rain. Then we have to finish the tournament within 20 days because there is also T20 World Cup, so UAE was the most suitable place for us.
