With Jameson, the entire New Zealand team started celebrating this wicket. But Taylor was not completely sure about this catch. So he thought it necessary to confirm with the umpire. After this, the field umpire asked the TV umpire for help to check whether the catch was caught correctly or not.
The TV umpire saw the replay of this catch many times and found it to be absolutely correct. After this, English captain Joe Root had to return to the pavilion. He got out after scoring 42 runs. Cricket fans liked Taylor’s frankness, sportsmanship and honesty and now he is being praised. England scored 275 runs in the first innings
When Root was dismissed, England’s score in the first innings was 111 runs. After his return to the pavilion, the England team could add 166 runs and seven wickets fell. Earlier, New Zealand had scored 378 runs in their first innings thanks to Devon Conway’s double century.
