Rajiv Shukla, a senior Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP, will once again take over as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Shukla’s name was proposed by Rohan Jaitley, president of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), which was approved by Mahim Verma of Uttarakhand. Verma left the post earlier this year. It was only after Verma’s resignation from the post of BCCI vice-president that Shukla came to the post. Shukla will be officially elected during the BCCI’s annual general meeting on December 24 in Ahmedabad.
